Prerequisites:
BA/BS degree or a minimum of 3- years experience in a related position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective phone skills
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Punctual, conscientious, personable with high energy and good work ethic
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Problem solving and analysis skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Adaptability, initiative and stress tolerance
Ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations
Ability to multitask, works in a fast-paced environment, and meets deadlines with frequent interruptions
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
HVAC Technical skills or knowledge a plus
The Customer Service Department Associate 1 will handle multiple assignments, including
Responsibilities:
Customer Service Duties
Process orders, new customers applications, quotes, and other requests via telephone, email or in-person
Handle incoming calls and inquiries from external customers as well as internal customers
Invoice customer orders when necessary
Filing closed customer orders when necessary
Customer Service for a diverse customer base
Handle and resolve customer complaints
Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to hand customer inquiries and complaints
Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
Record details of actions taken
Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
Follow up on customer interactions
Provide customer with additional information or explains services to ensure customer satisfaction
Handle confidential information appropriately
Must have extensive product knowledge and lead times
Must handle freight quotes and logistical issues
Other tasks as requested by CSD Supervisor
