Summary:
As a Purchasing Agent for Chafin Communities (new home builder and developer) you will play a crucial role in the procurement process by negotiating contracts, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Your expertise in analyzing market trends, building and database management, conducting cost analysis, preparing purchase orders, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers will be key to the success of this position and our organization.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
Stay abreast of market trends, industry regulations, and emerging technologies.
Purchase Order Processing Generate and manage orders, ensuring accuracy and adhere to budget constraints Coordinate with internal departments to gather purchase requirements and specifications.
Verify and review purchase request, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising the quality or efficiency.
Prepare and monitor budgets for procurement activities, track expenditures and recommending adjustments as necessary.
Compliance and Database Management Building and maintaining databases.
Create purchase orders, estimates, and processing vendor invoices.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.

Qualifications & Skills 3 Years as a purchasing agent in homebuilding required.
Purchasing software experience required, Builder MT or HomeFront preferred.
Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
